Institute Trains Math and Science Teachers

The National Teacher Training Institute for Math, Science and Technology (NTTI) trains teachers to creatively and effectively use public television's wealth of instructional televisionprogramming and telecommunications resources to engage and inform students.Since its beginning in 1990, the Institute has reached over 75,000 teachers impacting six million students, in 26 states. Currently, NTTI is looking for math and science teachers from NewYork's tri-state area who can serve as "master teachers."Master teachers attend eight planning sessions, co-create interdisciplinary math/science lesson plans, write and revise lesson plans for publication, co-present workshops, andparticipate in the year-long program via Learning Link and regional meetings.
