Built-in Connectors Are Plus for Modems

Megahertz's CruiseCard Modems for Apple PowerBooks come with the innovative XJACK connector, which allows one to hook directly to a regular phone cord with no hassle.

CruiseCards fit in a PowerBook's PCMCIA slot and come in two versions: 28.8 and 14.4 speeds.

To use the modem, simply pop out the XJACK connector to hook directly into a standard phone cord, then slide it back in when finished.

The modems feature Digital Line Guard, which protects the modem when connecting to high-voltage PBX lines; Flash ROM; and MNP 10, which optimizes cellular and poor quality phone lines. Delrina Fax LITE and SITcomm SE software are bundled. Megahertz Corp., Salt Lake City, UT, (800) LAPTOPS.
