Kids Learn Animation By Producing Cartoons

The Cartoon Toolbox starring Felix the Cat lets kids create cartoons similar to those on Saturday morning television without using the expensive production equipment.

The CD–;ROM provides over 30 backgrounds, 200 props (both animated and static), 200 sound effects, 30 visual effects and multiple soundtracks. Users can even shift the spatial relationship between props and characters.

"We're proud that we're teaching children sophisticated spatial and organizational concepts so simply," says Jim Myrick, vice president of marketing for Big Top Productions.

As a bonus, a "projector" tool allows students to share their work with others who don't have Cartoon Toolbox installed. Big Top Productions, San Francisco, CA, (800) 900–;PLAY. WM
