Upgrade Enhances Videoconf. System

ParkerVision introduces SHAREview, a software upgrade for its System II Personal Locator Camera Systems. This technology enables the system to automatically calculate and adjust the camera for multiple individuals who desire to share the camera view.

Views can be rapidly changed, allowing a videoconferencing camera to follow spontaneous conversations. Using a Personal Locator keypad, any participant also can choose a wide-angle shot of the group or a close-up shot of herself.

At the press of a button, the CameraMan camera will pan, tilt and zoom in, so colleagues can clearly see facial expressions and gestures that might otherwise be lost in typical wide-angle views. Once participants finish making their point, the camera automatically removes them from view. ParkerVision, Jacksonville, FL, (904) 737-1367.
