Authoring Software is Free to T.H.E. Readers

As part of an introductory promotion, Intersystem Concepts, Inc. (ICI) offers version 1.6 of its Everest Authoring Software for Windows at no charge until September 30, 1996. The free software -- not a demo, working model or beta -- creates interactive, multimedia CBT projects. Version 1.6 includes a compiler that boosts run-time performance by up to 500%; an enhanced global search and replace utility; expanded answer judging capabilities; and a snap-on module that allows projects to access the Internet for data and images. The license permits copies of Everest to be given to others, which suits teacher and student use. Download it from ICI's web page (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/intersys) or BBS (301-854-9427); alternatively, a diskette is available for a $10 S&H fee. Intersystem Concepts, Inc., Fulton, MD, (888) 8-AUTHOR.
