Networking Grants Valued at $7,500

Farallon Communications is partnering with PSINet and SurfWatch Software to offer its 1997 Farallon Education Internet Challenge Grants, a $37,500 program designed to assist schools in implementing Internet education in the classroom. The firms plan to offer five grants, each valued at $7,500 worth of products and services, including Farallon's Netopia Internet Router and Up & Running, Guaranteed! support program; one year of PSINet's LAN-ISDN service; and license packs of SurfWatch filtering software. Winners also will receive Farallon's Internet Software Kit, providing 25 licenses of key connectivity and exploration tools, and related books.
All interested teachers may submit proposals on behalf of their schools. Proposals should detail how the school plans to incorporate the Internet into curricula for the 1997-98 academic year.
