CyberFair '97 Calls for Entries

Sponsored by Cisco Systems, MCI and Network Solutions and managed by the Global SchoolNet Foundation, the International Schools CyberFair encourages schools to create curricular content on the Internet that showcases unique aspects of their community

Participants are asked to investigate one of eight categories: local leaders, community groups and special populations, business organizations, local specialties, local attractions, historical landmarks, environmental awareness, or local music and art. Teams conduct research projects and publish their results on the Web.

Entries will be evaluated based on a combination of presentation and content, first in a peer review process and then by a panel of industry experts. Winners will receive prizes from the executive sponsors as well as associate sponsors such as Microsoft, Fractal Design, Roger Wagner Publishers and Wacom Technology.

Schools have until March 7, 1997 to submit their entries. An online awards ceremony is planned for the week of May 12. Global SchoolNet Foundation, San Diego, CA, (619) 721-2972, www.gsn.org.
