Experience Life in the 18th Century

Using photographs, video and research material from The Fortress of Louisbourg in Nova Scotia, Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia and other historical sites, the developers of Time Travel to the Eighteenth Century have created a CD-ROM that lets students experience life as it was 250 years ago.

They can visit wigmakers, blacksmiths and sh'emakers or watch videos of soldiers, merchants and others talking about their lives. Listening to 18th century music or eavesdropping in a neighborhood tavern gives students cultural experience. Folkus Atlantic, Sydney, Nova Scotia, (800) 780-8266, www.mfusion.com/Folkus. WM
