District Outsources IT Department

Adams County School District 50 in Westminster, Colo., has out-sourced its Information Technology Management (ITM) department to Application Consultants, Inc.

This unique partnership increases the level of support and service available district-wide, with budget savings earmarked for new technology purchases or redirected to instruction. As a result, the district has been able to deploy a digital voice, data and video wide area network (WAN) as well as multiple local area networks (LANs).

Students and administrators now can access the Internet, e-mail, voice mail and other applications from any district computer.

Application Consultants was selected from a final field of eight vendors after a competitive bidding process. The firm provides value-added data processing and communications solutions to public and private schools of all sizes. Application Consultants, Inc., Westminster, CO, (303) 412-0338.
