Electric Device Can Open & Close Doors

The Auto-Equalizer is an electrically powered device that opens interior and exterior doors at the touch of a button. It can help schools comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by improving access to classrooms or other facilities.

A unique ìbreak awayî function protects the operator, door and frame if someone tries to force the door closed while in the opening phase. If the door meets any resistance during the opening swing, the Auto-Equalizer pauses for a few seconds then tries to open the door again; if resistance persists, it will pause then close the door.

A sophisticated ìsoft-startî motor control prevents a ìjack- rabbitî jerking action that wears down drive components. LCN, Princeton, IL, (800) 526-2400.
