Now Even Kids Can Create Web Pages

Tailored for grades 3-8, the School Version of Web Workshop from Sunburst allows teachers and students to create Web pages using familiar drawing tools rather than HTML or other programming codes.

Available for Mac and Windows PCs in both CD-ROM and floppy disk formats, the program includes backgrounds, clip art, sounds and more. To create a link, authors simply click on any item and type in the URL.

Sunburst will post Web pages on the Internet for 90 days at no charge; for a small fee, pages may remain online longer. The CD version comes with the Netscape Navigator browser, SurfWatch filtering tool and Internet access software from EarthLink.

In addition, the firm plans to roll out a series of Curriculum Web Packs, each focusing on a particular subject, with lesson plans and links to 50 Web sites. The School Version of Web Workshop is available in lab packs, site licenses and district licenses. Sunburst Communications, Pleasantville, NY, (800) 321-7511, www.nysunburst.com
