TeleCommunity Centers Offer Free Public Access

Anderson Soft-Teach has pledged to deliver its award-winning computer training courses at Southwestern Bellís TeleCommunity Centers, which provide the public with free access to the latest computers, communications and Internet technology. The centers are located throughout Missouri

The multimedia training courses, in both networked self-study and videotape classroom format, will be available in all seven of the existing and planned centers, including one at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Microsoft, Apple, Claris, Adobe and other leading vendors have joined in the technical training efforts.

Anderson's SmartTrainer courseware -- combining audio, video, text and graphics -- provides self-paced training for up to 25 concurrent network users on Microsoft Windows 95, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. The programís HelpDesk lets one search for answers while working within applications.

In addition, SmartTrainer Video courseware is the basis for the TeleCommunity Centersí classroom learning. Videos cover Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Mail. Included are videotapes, instructorís guides, student workbooks, practice disks and skills tests.
