Xerox Offers New Knowledge Sharing Solutions

Xerox has announced DocuShare 2.0, the company's flagship knowledge sharing platform. It includes significant new document repository management features and extensions that allow developers and value added resellers (VARs) to build customized knowledge sharing solutions. DocuShare 2.0 is also the first commercially available implementation of WebDAV, the emerging Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning standard endorsed by Netscape, Microsoft and Oracle, among others.

Support of WebDAV, ODMA 1.5 and XML also allows developers to build powerful, multi-platform solutions. The new DocuShare Windows Client provides a seamless interface between DocuShare servers and the end user's desktop. It also lets users easily manage large document repositories in multiple locations across the Web.

Designed to meet the needs of organizations of all sizes, DocuShare 2.0 is available in three versions. DocuShare Basics is for distributed workgroups requiring an intuitive user interface and fast deployment over the Internet or Intranet. DocuShare Office meets the needs of more complex organizations and offers a secure, easily customizable Web interface. DocuShare Enterprise brings knowledge sharing to your institution and cost-effectively integrates with enterprise-wide applications, such as Oracle databases.
