T.H.E. Journal Reader Wins Laptop Computer

T.H.E. Journal has drawn a winner from the pool of subscribers who renewed their subscriptions online this spring. Dr. Louis S. Perone, Professor of Mathematics at the State University of New York at Farmingdale, won a new Dell laptop PC for his personal and professional use. Professor Perone holds degrees from Long Island University, Hofstra University and New York University. His professional affiliations include the American Statistical Association and the American Psychological Association.

Professor Perone's current interests include educational technology and curriculum reform in statistics. Recent funded projects include Statistics and the Campus Community, A Manufacturing Based Laboratory for Introductory Statistics, and Interdisciplinary Learning in Statistics and Quality Control.
