Versatile S-Video

Leviton’s new QuickPortS-Video Connector features a unique design to transmit high quality S-Videoover standard Category 5, 5e or 6 UTP cabling. 110-style IDC punchdowns on therear of the connector allow simple, fast installation. Flexible UTP wiringallows the connectors to adapt to business and educational environments thathave frequent adds, moves and changes.

Running 22 or 24AWG UTP cable is simpler, more versatile and less expensive than installingcostly S-video cable, and the simplicity and craft-friendliness of the 110 IDCpunchdowns make this connector both efficient and cost-effective. Plus, compactconnector size helps maintain proper bend radius, and extends the life andeffectiveness of the cable and the network.

The connectorcombines the high quality S-Video format with the flexibility of the Quick-Portfamily of connectors, which support voice, data, audio and video applicationsand can be snapped into any QuickPort wallplate, surface mount box or MOSwallplate. Multiple connectors can be mixed, matched and combined in onesingle- or dual-gang QuickPort wallplate for a customized multimedia system.
