Partnership Delivers Media to Students
McGraw-Hill Education, 3Com Corporation and marchFIRST, Inc. have announced the development of the Media Ease Learning Solution, which will provide teachers with a one-stop technology resource for creating rich-media lessons and delivering rich-media content to students. Using Media Ease's intuitive interface, teachers will be able to preview and assemble digital content, including voice, data and video, into dynamic lessons that can be played, saved and updated. They will also be able to access content libraries (indexed and searchable by theme or subject matter) to create a lesson with their own content and have it delivered over the network for viewing. Teachers can also share lessons with each other to make the best use of plan development time and to improve lesson quality. The solution is also an ideal tool to deliver online professional development for teachers.
Media Ease is comprised of centralized servers housed at the school district level, remote servers in the schools, networking components and application software. The solution supports both multicast and unicast to allow lessons developed by the teachers to be shown to individual students, or to a group of students simultaneously. It provides access to content from leading publishers in the educational market.
