Student Tools and Resources Online

Thinkronize has announced the launch of two student-centric utilities, digitalbackpack.com and netTrekker.com. These utilities provide a single comprehensive source for education, entertainment and online communication. Both are available to students individually and through participating school districts nationwide. The tools are designed to be customized to the unique needs of students, educators and parents.

Digitalbackpack contains gear for school and life, including academic research, communication and entertainment. Operating as an application service provider (ASP), digitalbackpack delivers school connectivity and essential software tools, including e-mail, calendar and file storage, all through a standard Web browser. With the direct involvement of partner schools and districts, digitalbackpack also includes a group calendar-making function that enables students to receive school-related assignments, schedules and information online.

netTrekker is a search engine designed specifically to give students and educators the easiest, quickest and most effective results for their academic research. In order to ensure academic integrity, all content within netTrekker has been previewed by teachers. The tool can be accessed independently or through digitalbackpack. It integrates links through a framework of class subjects and topics that represent typical curriculum classifications. Additional tools include saved searches and reference resources for more effective academic research. Both netTrekker and digitalbackpack contain administrative tools, which allow school administrators to maintain and control certain aspects of the products, including access to content during school hours.
