Schools Gain Security From Detection Donation

Thanks to 3M's Salute to Schools Program, 104 middle and high schools in the U.S. have been selected to receive a total of $1.5 million in security technology. Sponsored by 3M in partnership with the American Association of School Librarians, the 3M Salute to Schools program provides 3M Detection Systems to help middle and high school library media centers with limited resources reduce the loss of valuable library materials. The 104 recipients of the donation will receive up to two 3M Detection Systems for the entrance/exit of their media center, a supply of 3M TattleTape Security Strips for marking library materials, and material-processing accessories. 3M Telecom Systems, Austin, TX, (800) 952-4059, www.3M.com.
