Connected Solution Enhances Learning Environment

The Connected Learning Solution, developed through a joint effort between SCT, WebCT and Campus Pipeline, Inc., provides academic and administrative services for traditional and nontraditional learners. It was developed to enhance the learning environment and help institutions remain competitive. The Connected Learning Solution enables institutions to improve student services, simplify and reduce time to deploy technologies, and streamline administrative processes. These integrated technologies can also create learning communities with increased interaction of learners through environments such as e-mail, chat rooms and discussion groups that can enrich learning whether the students are enrolled in a traditional or distance classroom.

The SCT Connection for WebCT provides a real-time, two-way exchange of data that synchronizes the user, course and grade information shared by SCT Banner and SCT Plus administrative systems with WebCT's e-learning tools. In addition, there's no need for downloads, administrative batch updates or manual re-entry of data. The Campus Pipeline Web platform provides single sign-on and visual integration for WebCT Campus Edition 3.5 course tools and supports visual/data integration provided through the SCT Connection for WebCT. This Connection also serves as the foundation for the integration of data between SCT administrative systems and other information systems supported by colleges and universities.
