History Rounds Out Social Studies Site

ABC-CLIO has recently launched its World History site, completing the company's social studies Web site suite, which now includes five integrative online resources that are standards-based and curriculum-aligned. World History is aligned with curriculum from secondary schools, covering historic events that shaped today's society from the 1500s to the present. The subscription-based site takes students beyond the textbook to explore the events, people and movements that have woven, and continue to alter, world history. Students develop historical research, analysis and interpretative skills, while gaining a deeper understanding of the legacy of the past.

World History is a reference-to-curriculum resource with a continually updated database and multiple learning paths to guide dynamic student inquiry. It offers librarians, teachers and students a wealth of information, including curriculum correlation, in-depth topic explorations, national and state standards support, time-saving lesson planning tools and relevant references. ABC-CLIO, Santa Barbara, CA, (800) 368-6868, www.abc-clio.com.
