Yahoo! Shopping Adds E-Books Category

Yahoo!, through its shopping site, is offering e-books by four publishing houses: Penguin Putnam, Simon & Schuster, Random House, and HarperCollins.

Educators are able to browse through a diverse collection of titles within the e-books category on Yahoo! Shopping and make purchases. The site (http://shopping.yahoo.com/books/ebooks/) features e-book content from best-selling authors, including Patricia Cornwell, Stephen King and Lisa Scottoline. Educators can search using the author's name, title, category or ISBN. The site also includes recommendations that highlight titles of particular interest to individuals.

E-books on the site can be downloaded using either Adobe Acrobat eBook Reader or Microsoft Reader. Yahoo!, Sunnyvale, CA, (408) 349-3300, www.yahoo.com.
