MicronPC Expands Server Line

MicronPC has expanded its NetFRAME server line with the introduction of NetFRAME 1500 and 2500, two new compact, high-density rack servers. Both are ideally suited for data center environments, parallel server applications and other high-transaction computing environments with tight space constraints, such as educational institutions. At 1U (1.75") high, the 1500 model is the company's thinnest server, allowing up to 42 servers in one standard rack. It also comes with a dual Pentium III processor, 6GB of RAM in a two-way interleave, three hot-swap hard drive bays, two 64-bit PCI expansion slots, a RAID card, and a single 250-watt PFC power supply.

The 2500 model stands at 2U high and allows up to 21 servers in one rack. It also comes with many of the same features as the 1500 model with the addition of seven hot-swap hard drive bays, six 64-bit PCI expansion slots, a single 350-watt PFC power supply, and optional redundant power module. Both servers can also be configured with the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server. MicronPC, Nampa, ID, (888) 224-4247, www.micronpc.com.
