Digital Duplication - Hewlett-Packard

Hewlett-Packard has developed a digital imaging set designed to quickly and easily publish digital images. Newly introduced in the HP line are two scanners and a compact photo printer that provide simple and creative ways to capture, print, share and receive digital images. Among the new products are the industry's first scanner to feature an automatic photo feeder, which allows users to digitize traditional photos by scanning a stack of 4" x 6" or 3" x 5" photos. The HP Scanjet 5500c scanner is capable of scanning a stack of up to 24 photos by placing them in a feeder and pressing a button. Scanned images can be viewed in about seven seconds, with no warm-up time required. Both the 5500c and the new Scanjet 4570c scanner feature seven one-touch buttons for convenient access to options such as share-to-Web, HP Memories Disc Creator software, copy center functions and e-mail. Users can get professional-quality scans with up to 2,400 dpi and 48-bit color for printing, e-mailing and posting to the Web.

When used with the HP Photosmart 230 Photo Printer, digital duplication is a snap. The Photosmart 230 produces borderless 4" x 6" prints, as well as provides professional-looking output with crisp detail and vibrant colors on HP premium photo papers, featuring up to 4,800-optimized dpi. In addition, the printer lets users preview and edit photos prior to printing with a 1.8" color LCD screen. Users can also print directly from the digital camera, without being connected to a computer, via the printer's memory card slots, which support Compact Flash, Memory Stick, MultiMedia, Secure Digital and SmartMedia.
