FingerKey DX

FingerKey DX is a fingerprint access-control reader from IR Recognition Systems (www.handreader.com) that provides biometric security screening for use in schools. FingerKey DX consists of a keypad and LCD, with a proximity reader and Ethernet upgrades available as optional features. The biometric scanner works by cross-checking a user's PIN or proximity card to their fingerprint scan. In total, the verification process takes less than two seconds once a user presents an ID and fingerprint. The system is capable of storing up to two finger scans per user, with a total storage capacity of 50 users in a standard configuration. Schools that need more storage can purchase an optional memory upgrade. In addition, an RS-485 network can be used to link multiple units.
