‘Google for Reading’ Delivers a Wealth of Book Resources

The goal of TeachingBooks.net (www.teachingbooks.net) is to foster enthusiasm for books and reading by providing easy access to authors, illustrators and exceptional book resources in one central location. This “Google for reading,” as one Apple Distinguished Educator described the site, provides resources such as exclusive movies of authors and illustrators in their studios; audio excerpts of professional book readings; guides to thousands of titles categorized by author, title, subject and grade level; and a wealth of multimedia resources on literature and authors for children and young adults. Teachers can also sign up for an e-mail newsletter that highlights specific resources of the site’s content.
