Mathematica

To help schools better understand its product, Wolfram Teacher Network has begun signing up high school math and science teachers for its Mathematica Mentors Program. The program’s mentors are trained and certified to provide math and science teachers with services and support such as direct answers to technical questions, insight from other teachers who have established successful Mathematica programs in their schools, as well as seminars and training sessions on exciting educational tools for the classroom. Mathematica offers an array of uses ranging from a simple calculator to accessing algorithms, and can be used with its notebook interface, a Web browser or by other systems as a back-end computational engine. Teachers who participate in the program receive free introductory Mathematica training, standby vouchers for other Wolfram Education Group training sessions, as well as sample talks and other educational materials from the Mathematica information center.
