Questia Launches Course Management System
Questia Media (www.questia.com) has expanded its online academic library to the secondary school level with the launch of Questia Classroom, the first course management system (CMS) attached to a vast scholarly collection of full-text, copyrighted, public domain material. The online CMS allows teachers to easily create, plan and manage unique course material while leveraging the power of a built-in, online, ever-growing library collection of 50,000 full-text books and 900,000 journal, magazine and newspaper articles focused on English language arts and social studies. By using Questia, students also have 24/7 access to resource materials that can be viewed simultaneously by multiple users without the risk of exposing students to inappropriate Internet content. In addition, Questia is now offering one head librarian from every U.S. secondary school a free one-year subscription to its online library.
