AOL@School Collaboration Launches Virtual Hate-Crime Program

Through a partnership withWILL Interactive (www.willinteractive.com), AOL@School(www.aolatschool.com) willnow feature WILL’s VirtualExperience Immersive LearningSimulations (VEILSTM), whichare a cross between a feature filmand video game, and providestudents with experientiallearning to help improve theircritical-thinking and decisionmakingskills.The new collaborationis launching with the “HateComes Home” program, whichhelps high school students navigatethe issues of hate crimes,discrimination, and bias byhaving them make life-alteringdecisions while playing the role ofone of the program’s four characters.Through the AOL@Schoolsite, educators can also accessteaching materials and purchasethe complete program.
