PowerSchool 5.0

POWERSCHOOL ( www.apple.com/education/powerschool) has released PowerSchool 5.0, a Web-based student information system (SIS) from Apple. Delivering data access and optimized performance capabilities that address a broad set of customer needs, 5.0 easily scales to meet the demands of growing schools and districts of all sizes. The system provides a complete view of each student’s performance data to guide decisions in the classroom, at the district office, and from home. Includes timesaving administrative tools for teachers, and password-protected online performance records for parents. A new enhancement to the PowerSchool platform is increased accessibility to meaningful information through a new relational layer on top of the SQL database in PowerSchool 5.0. Scalability and additional performance have also been added. Minimal training required. Pricing varies.
