eInstruction Updates CPS Mac

01.03.2007—Denton, Texas-based eInstruction has released an update for the Mac version of its Classroom Performance System (CPS). The new release is a Universal Binary, adding native support for Intel-based Macs and various workflow improvements. It's available now.

CPS is a "response system" designed for classrooms that allows all students in the class to respond to questions simultaneously by entering input into a handheld pad. It can be used for testing purposes, for the collection of data for comparison against state standards, for collaborative learning and for assessment.

The new 1.34 version adds native support for Intel-based Macs and continues to support PowerPC-based Macs as well. Other new features include:

  • A new Window menu bar item;
  • Session Grade Export added to reporting;
  • Joining disabled in voting (to improve performance).

CPS 1.34 is available now as a free upgrade for current users.
