##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

2/26/2007—SchoolSpan will once again offer its Safe School Grant to K-12 schools this spring. A Grant award includes five years of free service of the company's anonymous reporting module.

Schools will receive a minimum of five years of licensed service from SchoolSpan for the Anonymous Alert module, valued at $500 per year, according to company. The Web-based program allows students or community members, who wish to remain nameless, to warn school officials of threats needing immediate attention.

In fall 2006, SchoolSpan Safe Schools Grant awarded 50 school districts, representing more than 300 schools with free licenses for the reporting module.

According to SchoolSpan, public school districts in the United States are eligible to apply for the grant. Schools wishing to apply can do so at the company's website. (See link below.) Applications will be accepted from March 1, 2007 to June 30, 2007.
