LEXMARK has released the Lexmark Education Station, a laser multifunctionproduct (MFP) that boasts print, copy, scan, and fax capabilities, all in onedevice. The unit’s Scan to Classroom application allows teachers to store studentwork on the school network; office staff can use it to scan and e-mail doctors’notes and other forms to teachers. Another app that is shipped with theMFP, called Forms on Demand, makes it easy for teachers to retrieve networkfiles straight from the device. Additional software designed to automate testing,grading, curriculum management, and record keeping is also available. Price:$3,699 (estimated retail).
