SAS Brings Online High School Curriculum Tool to Homeschoolers

Ed tech provider SAS inSchool, a unit of SAS, is bringing its online curriculum tool, Curriculum Pathways, to homeschoolers. The company this week announced that it would make the technology available for home users for a $99 annual licensing fee.

Curriculum Pathways to date has been used in schools (traditional and virtual) in 30 states. It provides lesson plans, activities, and other educational tools via the Web, covering core curriculum subjects: English, history, math, science, and Spanish. It's targeted primarily toward grades 8 through 12, although the company said it's also being used in community colleges. Some features include differentiated instruction techniques, mapping to state standards, technology integration, and interactive learning materials.

The $99 for the homeschool edition covers a year of full access to the online service for immediate family members living at the same address. But SAS also indicated that larger organizations and homeschool networks can receive "significant" discounts on the license fee. It also includes training for homeschool teachers, including virtual open houses, tutorials, Webinars, and standard technical support.

Curriculum Pathways is available now for homeschoolers. A 30-day trial is also available. Further information about subscriptions for homeschools can be found here.
