Atomic Debuts Training Modules for Assistive Technologies

Atomic Learning has launched a new series of online training materials for a range of assistive technologies used in education used by special ed instructors, parents, and other stakeholders.

Atomic Learning is a provider of Web-based technology training and support. Its new "Assistive Technology Collection" provides training on assistive devices and specialized software, as well as training on the assistive technologies built into operating systems and general software, such as Mac OS X, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.

Technologies covered include Overboard 2, Boardmaker Plus 6, Read & Write Gold 8.1, Speak Q 2, Word Q 2, Co:Writer SOLO, IntelliTools Classroom Suite 4, Overlay Maker 3, Thera Simplicity, and Kurzweil 3000.

The Assistive Technology Collection is being offered through a supplemental subscription t the company's tutorial library or as a standalone resource for "individuals, schools, organizations, and special education cooperatives," according to Atomic.
