Colorado School Installs 100 Kilowatt Solar System

Kent Denver School, a private, non-profit college prep school in Colorado, has ramped up its renewable energy program by installing a 100 kilowatt solar system. The system, deployed by Bella Energy, will provide the school with more than 135,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per
year at a fixed cost for the next 20 years.
"Bella Energy helped us pursue our sustainability goals, particularity with using solar energy which is both cost effective and efficient. The students can learn about a smart application of a new technology," said Todd Horn, head of Kent Denver School, in a statement released last week. "This unique financial model allows us to take advantage of renewable energy incentives not usually available to non-profit institutions."
The project is a partnership between Bella Energy and Conergy, a renewable energy technology provider.
Kent Denver School serves 655 middle school and high school students.
