##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Lexia Learning Systems recently released a new version of its Lexia Reading software. The updated version includes a range of improvements over the previous release, including performance gains, new teacher resources, and added functionality.

Lexia Reading is a suite of reading tools for preK-12 students that incorporates software for three reading levels--Early Reading (ages 4 to 6), Primary Reading (ages 5 to 8), and Strategies for Older Students (ages 9 and up)--and also includes assessments and tracking features, as well as various management and reporting features. The new edition, according to Lexia, offers faster application performance, new teacher resources, and other improvements.

Some of the new features include:

  • Printable lesson plans (Lexia Lessons), which target individual skills that students might be struggling with;
  • Lexia Skill Builders, which are practice sheets used to reinforce developing skills; and
  • Teacher training materials, including videos and online tutorials.

Lexia Reading is available now for Mac OS X and Windows systems as a hosted service on a subscription basis. Further information can be found here.
