Plato Learning Environment 1.3 Ramps Up Communications Tools

Plato Learning has released Plato Learning Environment 1.3, an update to the company's SaaS learning management system. The new version incorporates new features and functionality enhancements, including new communications tools.

The Plato Learning Environment provides an integrated system for delivering classroom content, formative assessments, standards and curriculum management, custom course creation, and analysis and reporting. it also provides support for content customization and compliance reporting features. According to the company, it's used by more than 1,200 educational institutions in the United States and has more than 1.2 million registered users.

The new 1.3 release, according to Plato, includes a new "Create Custom Resource" tool, improved batch enrollment, and new communications tools for teachers and students.

Plato Learning Environment is licensed on an annual subscription basis through an application service provider. Further information can be found here.
