netTrekker Launches Video Contest

A vendor that sells a K-12 search tool is offering scholarships to a national educational conference that takes place in Denver in June. netTrekker, which sells netTrekker d.i., is inviting educators to create videos that show "Personalized Learning in Action," for a chance to win one of two $1,500 scholarships to cover attendance and expenses to this year's International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) 2010. (The conference was formerly known as NECC.)

netTrekker d.i. is a search tool that guides users to online resources selected by educators and aligned to state education standards. The contest encourages teachers to create video clips illustrating how they use netTrekker and other resources to engage students in a personalized learning experience, such as showing kids using the tool for a particular kind of project research or building lesson plans that incorporate elements for students with special needs.

The videos will be featured on netTrekker's YouTube channel and its online educational community, NetTrekkerVillage.com, where other educators can comment and vote on the clips. Entries will be accepted until April 16, 2010.
