PolyVision Debuts Eno One Whiteboard System

PolyVision has launched a new classroom presentation system that couples interactive whiteboard hardware with an open software platform. Dubbed "ēno one," the system debuted at the ISTE 2010 conference in Denver, CO in June and includes whiteboard, projector, lesson plan software, and height-adjustable stand.

The package centers around the e3 Environmental whiteboard. Made of a proprietary, recyclable material called "ceramicsteel," the board can be marked with dry-erase pen, electronic stylus, or included magnetic items.

Ēno one comes bundled with RM Easiteach software, as well as games and activities designed around the whiteboard's interactive functionality. RM Easiteach is a classroom software suite that integrates functionality between whiteboards, classroom clickers (interactive polling devices), and other technologies. It's targeted toward a variety of grade levels and can be used to create both lessons and activities. It includes pre-designed content packs covering math, English/language arts, science, and geography. It also allows for existing lessons to be adapted from Excel, Word, and Power Point, as well as video files.

Content from the included software, as well as any other software programs from the user's computer system, is projected onto the whiteboard surface and controlled with the stylus via a magnetically attached, movable toolbar strip.
