Samsung Superhero Contest Seeks History-themed Student Videos

Samsung Techwin America’s Electronic Imaging Division is accepting short student-created video entries for its Fall Superhero Competition until March 31.

The competition is open to all K-12 students in the United States, and asks them to submit short digital videos of themselves portraying historical figures for the chance to win $500 and a SAMCAM 860 document camera for their class.

The videos, which can be recorded on low-resolution cameras, should be short--one to three minutes in length--and will be judged on "presentation performance, character and content accuracy, and content quality," according to the company.

The SAMCAM 860 retails for $799. The camera is a digital presenter designed to promote active learning instruction techniques, which engage and involve students in lessons to promote better retention of the material presented in the classroom.
