Plan Now for FETC 2013, Enter to Win a Free Hotel Stay

Plans are already falling into place for FETC 2013, scheduled for Jan. 28-31 once again at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Early-bird registration is now underway. In fact, if you act soon, you may be able to take advantage of dollars that remain in your 2012 budget to attend FETC 2013 and get your hotel accommodations paid for. June 30 marks the end of the fiscal year for many school districts, and every year millions of dollars worth of state and federal funds earmarked for educator professional development are lost because schools fail to allocate them.

So here's all you need to do: First, check with your administrator to see if there are any outstanding RTT, Title 2, Title 3, or STEM grant funding still available in your district for 2012. If so, make your case for attending FETC 2013, and register online.

There's one more incentive for early registration. If you do register before June 30, you will be entered into a drawing for a three-night stay at one of FETC's conference hotels.

A record number of submissions were made during the annual FETC Call for Presentations. It is likely that there will be more than 1,000 recommendations for session titles. Meanwhile, some of the most popular speakers at recent FETC conferences are already on board, including Rushton Hurley, Adam Bellow, Julie Young, Jenna Linskens, Leslie Fisher, Hall Davidson, and John Kuglin.

The popular Tech Shoot-out and App Shoot-out sessions, where presenters share their favorite finds of the year in rapid-fire succession, will also return.
