Califone unveiled a new six-position jackbox for iPods, iPhones, and iPads at this week's ISTE 2013 conference in San Antonio, TX. The device supports up to six users at a single time.

The 1206i Jackbox comes with docking station that supports 30-pin iOS mobile devices, including the iPad (up to the third generation), iPhone (through the 4S), and iPod (up to the third generation). The 1206i can also support the iPad 4, iPhone 5, and fourth and fifth generation iPods with a Y-cord connected to the front of the jack. The company plans to launch a jackbox to support Android devices, according to a company statement.

"Teachers can easily connect their iPad, iPhone or iPod with the Jackbox to engage a group of students in a read-along, literacy or STEM applications," said Tim Ridgway, vice president of marketing for Califone. "The jackbox helps educators effectively incorporate digital learning activities into the classroom, leading students to comprehend and master difficult content."
