Itslearning Updates Learning Management System with Recommendation Engine

Itslearning has updated its learning management system (LMS), also called itslearning, with a standards mastery and recommendation engine.

The "engine offers immediate feedback, progress tracking and a recommendation platform that provides teachers with suggested resources and content tailored to the requirements and learning styles of individual students and standards," according to a news release. "A standards mastery report records each student's performance on assignments, activities and assessments, showing teachers which areas of the standards are not yet met or mastered." It then recommends resources aligned to standards for students who need additional support.

The company has also updated rubrics in the LMS, adding the ability to search them, calculate grades based on them and share them between course creators.

The itslearning LMS is the result of a collaboration between the company and Forsyth County Schools in Georgia.

"Working as an integral part of the itslearning product design team has allowed us to provide input on our product requirements and ongoing needs of Forsyth County," said Mike Evans, director of information and instructional support systems at Forsyth, in a prepared statement. "itslearning is an important instructional delivery and collaboration tool across all levels of our district, and our partnership assures us that we have implemented the most robust learning management system available for educators and students alike."
