iboss Network Security Adds Single Sign-On Feature

ibossiboss Network Security today announced the integration of OAuth2 authentication for Chromebook and Android devices. The single sign-on (SSO) feature is designed to enhance security by streamlining user-based authentication on K-12 school networks. The new feature is intended to help with policy enforcement and regulatory compliance, as well as detecting malware on devices.

The SSO feature prompts a one-time user registration before allowing Chromebook and Android BYOD users access to a school’s network. It then provides automatic login to the organization’s directory services via an Active Directory plug-in at the gateway.

iboss’ SSO authentication for Chromebooks is available now. The Android BYOD feature will be available in the fourth quarter of 2014.
