Digital Imaging Cameras: Sony
Sony's DSC-P7 Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera combines a
high-resolution
3.2-megapixel Super HAD CCD with a 3X optical zoom lens in a compact
package that's small enough to fit in most pockets or purses. It
offers a three-area multipoint autofocus for sharply focused shots
and low-light conditions. The AF Illuminator briefly illuminates the
subject for an accurate focus lock. The multiburst function captures
16,320 x 240 frames with three selectable intervals for convenient
motion analysis. Versatile MPEG movie modes are highlighted with MPEG
HQX, which captures 16 fps (320 x 240) full-screen playback video
clips without audio, the length of which is limited only by the
capacity of the media. Users can even edit MPEG clips into the camera
with 6X cue/review and divide/delete. For reliable, long-lasting
operation, the DSC-P7 Cyber-shot is supplied with Sony's InfoLithium
battery and an AC adapter/in-camera charger. In addition, a supplied
USB cable and driver software enable easy image transfers to most
computers. Sony, New York, NY, (877) 865-7669, www.sony.com.
