Safe@School Portal Offers Classroom Virus Protection
Central Command Inc. is offering special educational pricing through its Safe@School initiative, which gives schools the opportunity to purchase the company’s Vexira Antivirus software for $1.79 per computer. Vexira Antivirus is a scalable, multiplatform anti-virus protection solution that scans for viruses and other malicious activities on local hard disks, network drives, floppy disks, as well as in e-mail attachments and Internet downloads. Educators can visit the Safe@School portal at www.centralcommand.com/edu to take advantage of the discount program and the site’s other educational resources, including signing up to receive free classroom security posters that cover three pertinent topics: “phishing” scams, e-mail safety and the risks of file sharing.
