Two New Releases from Plato Learning
Completing their Writing Process and Practice series, Plato Learning (www.plato.com) has released two new products designed to improve students’ literacy and writing skills. While using methods appropriate for older learners, Plato Essential Writing Process and Practice provides a foundation for writing by teaching strategies and grammar skills that are usually taught in grades 3-4. The curriculum contains about 26 hours of scaffolded instruction, delivered in two courses: Writing Strategies, and Grammar and Mechanics. The second release is the Plato Fundamental Writing Process and Practice program, which builds upon the lessons learned in the Essential Writing courses as it teaches strategies used within the writing process, and the contextual usage of grammar skills taught in grades 5 and 6.
