Panda Launches Online Child Safety Campaign
Panda Software has created the
Children and the Internet: Don’t Let
Them Talk to Strangers campaign to make
parents and teachers aware of the people
and the risks that children may encounter
when surfing the Web without adult supervision.
The initiative has attempted to get
the word out about the many threats a child
may encounter on the Internet (e.g., adult
sites and sexual predators) through radio
and TV campaigns, as well as through
English (www.defendyourchild.com) and
Spanish (www.menorenlared.com) Web
sites. The sites include useful tips for
protecting children while on the Internet,
such as establishing firm rules and
installing a good security program.
