Blue Security Builds ‘Do Not Intrude Registry’

Blue Frog

Patterned after the Federal Do Not Call Registry, Blue Security (www.bluesecurity.com) has created a free Do Not Intrude Registry, which forms a community of people to fight spam by registering via the Web and downloading its “Blue Frog” to their computers. Once an individual becomes a community member, the company analyzes spam collected by its spam sensors and sends warnings to Web sites responsible for spamming. If the warning is ignored, the Blue Frogs installed on community members’ computers automatically post complaints for every spam message received on the Web sites that are advertised by the spammers—eventually disrupting their ability to do business if they continue to spam members.
