Color Printing on a Cart
In an attempt to make color printing more accessible around K-12
campuses, Lexmark (www.lexmark.com) has created the Color
Printing on a Cart solution, which puts its color or multifunction
printers on a battery-powered printing
cart that can be checked out by teachers
and wheeled around to classrooms for
on-site, on-demand printing. Paired
with optional wireless printing connectivity,
Lexmark’s cart solution is driverless,
making it ideal for schools with
laptop-using students. Schools can also
monitor everyday printing with integrated
software that tracks printing
down to the user level. Pricing varies,
starting at around $2,500.
